Carlos and Jemima Guimaraes v. Christopher Brann (Brazilian Kidnapping Case)
Houston trial lawyer Jeff Diamant again chosen to lead the fight, this time in the lawsuit filed on behalf of Carlos and Jemima Guimaraes, convicted of aiding and abetting in the alleged kidnapping of their grandson. The suit exposes the fraud on the court on behalf of Chris Brann.
Brann, a Houston doctor, had a history of domestic violence, sexual deviance, pornography addiction and purported sociopathic behavior. His victims were his former wife, Marcelle Guimaraes (daughter of the accused Carlos and Jemima Guimaraes) and their son, Nico. During the divorce, when it became clear that the Texas family court (presided over by the subject of recent scrutiny, Former-Judge James Lombardino) had no intention of protecting Marcelle or Nico, Marcelle fled to her home country of Brazil to seek the protection of the Brazilian courts with her son. Rather than approaching the authorities, Brann seized an opportunity to craft a fraud upon the court and obtained, through false testimony and the assistance of his attorney, Bobby Newman, a fraudulently procured judgment exonerating him of domestic violence even though the record was replete with his terroristic and violent acts.
After procuring the fraudulently-obtained judgment, Brann sought the assistance of the US Attorney’s Office some 2.25 years after Marcelle left to Brazil. That’s right, sports fans. He waited 2.25 years. Why? Well, domestic violence is an absolute defense to International Kidnapping, for obvious reasons. What he did instead, was perjure himself to get the accused-crooked judge to issue a judgment absolving him of domestic violence so he could pursue not only his wife Marcelle, but his child’s own grandparents Carlos and Jemima Guimaraes criminally.
Brann spun his false narrative to the Texas court along with the US House of Representatives, US Senate, and then the Federal District Court presiding over the criminal trial of Carlos and Jemima, who were represented by Rusty Hardin. Brann’s fraud has caused the Guimaraes family unimaginable horror including hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees and even incarceration in a Federal Prison. Diamant was chosen to pursue the lawsuit against Brann exposing his fraud.
